Light up your kitchen in Addison & Richardson
Posted on March 3, 2011
With the kitchen being such an important part of the home, it just makes sense to accentuate it as much as possible. Whether your kitchen in large or small, good kitchen lighting can make a tremendous difference. Consider installing under cabinet lights, as well as recessed lighting or can lights. Pantry lighting is also helpful, whether you have a walk-in pantry or a closet pantry. A chandelier mounting or ceiling fan mounting over the kitchen table can also make a cozier environment, and give additional light for tasks like homework and paying bills.
Kitchen electrical also has special considerations. It is generally a good idea to install a dedicated circuit or dedicated plug for larger electronic appliances, like the fridge, oven, dishwasher or microwave. Also consider replacing standard kitchen outlets with GFCI outlets. These will automatically cut the power if an interruption in the power flow is detected, and prevent any family members from receiving injury from a nasty shock.
