If you are a new parent or parent-to-be in Frisco or Little Elm, your head might be swimming right now with all the things you need to do to prepare for your baby. One thing that might not readily come to mind is making small changes in the lighting and electrical for the room where the baby will sleep. For instance, consider installing a dimmer switch for the overhead light. That way when they wake up at 2 in the morning, you can raise the lighting to a subdued level so that you can make your way around the room while still maintaining a “sleepytime” atmosphere. Babies get warm easily, so you might want to install a ceiling fan to help keep the air in the room circulating and make things more comfortable. Ceiling fans come in all shapes and sizes today so choose one that best matches the decor of the room, or custom-paint a plain white one yourself! Covering the plugs is a great step, but you can also take it one step further and install GFCI outlets to protect your baby from a shock. If you live in a cooler climate, you might want to consider a generator installation. That way if the power goes out, you have a backup source to power a space heater and keep your baby (and the rest of your family) toasty warm. And of course, do not underestimate the importance of a good smoke detector. Smoke alarm battery replacement should be done at the same time every year. You can remember to do this by changing the batteries on your baby’s birthday!

A new customer in Plano had recently purchased some ceiling fans for several rooms in her home.  Once she got all the ceiling fans to her home she called us to come out and install the ceiling fans.  Once the electrician got to her Plano home the electrician built the ceiling fan, checked the existing electrical wiring and fan box for safety and then mounted the ceiling fans.  The Plano customer had a ceiling fan installed in her living room, 3 bedrooms, game room, and on the patio cover.  The fan in the master bedroom did not hand down low enough for the customer so she had us install a down rod to make the fan lower.  He also installed a multiple speed switch with a dimmer so the Plano resident could control the speed of the fan and dim the lights as needed.  If you need to have some ceiling fans installed give us a call.  We will build your ceiling fan, check the existing electrical wiring for safety or install new wiring if needed, mount the ceiling fan, and balance the ceiling fan so it does not shake during use.  We are licensed and insured and service the Frisco, Plano, & Little Elm areas.  Call today.

After a few weeks of her door bell sounding funny an existing customer of ours in Allen called us out to get the door bell fixed.  After the electrician did some trouble shooting he found that the button for the door bell had become defective.  He replaced the door bell button and now it is ringing as it should be.  While we were there fixing the door bell the customer also wanted us to install a ceiling fan on her back patio cover.  There was no existing light fixture or ceiling fan already there so we had to run conduit or get the wiring where she wanted the ceiling fan located.  We also installed a box and all the wiring that were needed to get the ceiling fan working properly.  We painted the conduit and other parts so that everything matched with the color of the wood.  THe customer in allen also had the electrician replace 2 standard switches to dimmer switches while he was there.  If you have a problem with your door bell not working or need a ceiling fan or new switch installed, give us a call and we can get you taken care of.  Having a licensed electrician completing your electrical project will give you peace of mind knowing that your project was done correctly and safely.  Call today.  We also service Plano, Frisco, Little Elm, Aubrey, Prosper, Celina and all surrounding areas.
